Swimming as Exercise

We all enjoy hanging out by the pool and relaxing, but there is another great use for that pool…exercise!  The benefits of swimming are abundant for the body and mind and can be a great alternative to the treadmill or elliptical.

The biggest draw to swimming is that it’s low impact.  Meaning there isn’t a ton of force when you hit the bottom of the pool verses running or jumping on solid ground.  Less stress on your joints is always a good thing!
